    As stupid as it is but the fake building simulation worked. I placed the brush with random texture all over the part of the map where I dont need the rain. The side of the brush visible to the player was caulked.

    I think it could be also done with clip texture all over the areas, where I don't need the rain. This way the game will think this is indoor areas and will stop generate the rain. Need to test it though.

    So I successfully implemented the rain on my map following this tutorial. But I need to restrict the rain to certain zone. My map is consisting of several separate small areas. Each one has it's own volume_sun. These areas are really far from each other and not connected (only with teleports)...

    Props to MikeyRay and Slayin from Discord channel. The solution: Don’t make zone2 an adjacent zone to zone 1. So I removed this line: zm_zonemgr::add_adjacent_zone("zone1", "zone2", "enter_zone2", 1); And added this line under "init_zones[0] = "start_zone";" init_zones[1] = "zone2";

    Hm. I Tried this: zm_zonemgr::add_adjacent_zone("zone1", "zone2", "enter_zone2", 1); Didn't worked out. Zombies still spawning in the zone2. Tried a reversal: zm_zonemgr::add_adjacent_zone("zone2", "zone1", "enter_zone2", 1); Same. Am I doing something wrong?

    Nevermind. It is just me being stupid. The thing is - there was no outdoor_volume :D. I added another one and checked ALL FOUR CHECKS. Before I checked only 3 of them.

    So it supposed to be like that? I mean the outdoor_volume is suppose to cover ALL AREAS? As far as I remember, I checked 0-3 as tutorial says. Filters and unhide doesn't work. It's gone. I can't even find outdoorbounds texture in the "all in use" filter.
