i want to remove this because it prevents me from crawling inside a vent, i just stop moving when i want to take a turn in the vent too

You could always make your vent not solid and put a clip barrier around the vent so that you can prone in it without it being too big of a gap to walk through the vent.

select brush, right click, make non-colliding
