Hey guys! It's me, Ping again and I've been working really hard on making a brand new map for Black Ops 3!



If you remember my map "Discovery Island" from February 2015 (I know, over 2 years ago wtf?) you'll know it was a decent map gameplay-wise and the community was pretty happy with it. However, looking back on it now I see that the map was, as you might say, lacking 99% of detail. At the time of course, I was really proud of it and given it was my 3rd (proper) map release, I was happy for it. But nowadays, with Black Ops 3, this must be fixed.



Original Discovery Island:





I am now currently developing a sequel - which will still utilise the Discovery Island theme - called "Treasure Island". Treasure Island was the first name given to the island when Disney opened it back in 1974, I thought this would be an excellent chance of re-branding the zombie map I created to show a different perspective into this mysterious abandoned island on Bay Lake.



I am also planning to include a small part of River Country as a temporary Pack-A-Punch area as it is also a place I've always wanted to implement into a zombie map!



Previous Updates:




UPDATE #1 (15/06/17):


- Removed all ported assets in favour of stock ones


+ Altered box loadout


+ Changed theme to a sort-of "overcast evening"


+ Added Volumetric Lighting to all areas


+ Expanded map layout


+ Added ambient music


+ Added weather effect (wind blowing through trees)


+ Improved detail to all areas

This will be my 3rd BO3 release! Since my first release, I have learned so much about the community/mapping as a whole and as a result, this map will be my most detailed and expansive experience yet!

  • | Zombie Counter (Would it be better if I didn't implement this?)

  • | Zipline OR slip-slide (let me know which one you want to see!)

  • | A custom perk? (Paranormal Potion perhaps? (if I can get it working)

This is awesome! So much of an improvement! Looking at the "Planned Features List" I have a few thoughts to share. First, the feature list makes it look like the map will be full of fun. As for the zipline or slip slide, what do you think about this idea maybe. Since you said you want River Country as the pack a punch area what if you had the slip slide be the way of getting back from the PaP area? I don't know the full plans of the map but maybe that's be a cool idea to go with if you like it. Next, for the boss. I think instead of Brutus you should go with something that maybe fits the maps theme a little better. For example the Thrasher from ZNS or the Napalm zombie from Shangri La or something. I personally have no idea how to get those bosses in the map but I think if you found someone who could it would be pretty cool, even if it was a custom boss. Just something to fit the theme better. Anyway those are my thoughts, and obviously you don't have to use them or even like them lol, but so far I think this is looking great! Good job!

Unfortunately like the post reads, it's stock weapons only. You can however apply a mod to the map if you wish.

you need a custom perk? I could make one for you. As well as a Kino-style teleporter system.
