Cut curved patches

Is it possible to cut a part out of a curved texture patch?
ex: the middle of a curved patch is lower, and cut out the lowest part so there's a hole, but it's also going downhill.

As far as I know, you cant cut curve patches, so you should probably make 2 curve patches and on the ends have regular terrain patches so you can make your hole.

Hmmm... Yeah, i made an alternative option because nothing would work, it's pretty stupid you can't cut them tho.

1. select the curve
2. Patch > curve > curve to terrain
3. press "v" for vertex mode
4. Select the vertex loop you wish to cut on
5. press ctrl + shift + X to cut
